I developed the initial notion of Internet Thinking in an opinion piece for the NZ Management magazine. Taking the opportunity to present at the Fresh Technology Summit, I’ve refined the ideas and come up with more examples. (download PDF of presentation)
Internet Thinking is a business strategy using the Internet to drive disruptive innovation. While such step-change happens by an organisation or even an individual, it now seems to me that in fact Internet Thinking is best thought of at an industry level.
Summary of the presentation:
- Adaptation doesn’t work in Internet time. Disruptive innovation is the norm.
- Internet thinking is business strategy for business leaders, especially the non-technical.
- Think differently
“In the absence of non-linear innovation, the destiny of the industry is your destiny”
